On this tour, take to a Jodo-Shu temple "Tensho-ji" and make a small tour under the guidance of the chief priest. Then, specially go inside the main hall that is not open to the public. you can experience Juzu-kuri (big rosary turning) which the Kyotoites do in summer events in their childhood. Regardless of religion, let's pray for peace. That's a Kyoto's unique custom. After that, a special live by shamisen & guitar duo; Yamaoka Yoichi. They play Japanese classic, rock and pops... Sitting on tatami and relax, enjoy the power full performance in the solemn atmosphere. This live and experience is exclusive and rare opportunity. Everything will be a valuable experience during your Kyoto stay. Photo OK ! "Tensho-ji" is normally not open to the public, so not be crowded. *** YAMAOKA YOICHI *** A duo by two professional musicians: REACH YAMAUCHI- He has learned folk shamisen since childhood, and also active as a Japanese drum player. He holds a solo concert both home and abroad. YO TOMIOKA- He was born in Kyoto, starting with acoustic guitar in his teens and do support various bands. Currently working also as Guitar Life Advisor, performing lives based in Kyoto and Tokyo. < Meeting Point > We meet at in front of a crab restaurant "Kanidoraku" famous for the huge crab sign, in Teramachi shopping arcade. Then, I take to Tensho-ji reached on foot in 1 minute. We depart 10 minutes after the meeting time. If late, please come directly to Tensho-ji. It is located at the center of downtown area. You can drop in on your way shopping and walking around the city.
